Examinations: Neurology testing

Neurology testing consists of a series of simple tests that will help us find out what might cause your vision problems. This will only take a couple of minutes.

How does it work?

First you sit down in the examination chair and follow the instructions from Dr. Bender.

Eye movements: he moves a penlight which you are asked to follow in all directions.

Vision: you will be asked to read from an eye chart.

Blinking: he watches your eyelids’ posture and blink rate.

Facial muscles: he looks for symmetry in your face.

Pupil reaction: he uses the penlight and watches how your pupils react to the light.

Visual field: he will hold up a varying number of fingers in different locations in front of you. Can you count the fingers?
